Guy became the first NFL Punter to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame and first player from Southern Miss to receive this honor.
Referred to as Ray Guy Day, the USM Alumni Association in partnership with Bancorp South held a meet and greet where Guy autographed posters, footballs and USM paraphernalia for alumni, fans and students before the game.
